Imphal: With the situation in the state tense but under control, security forces continued to conduct search operations to maintain law and order situation.
During the search conducted in last 24 hours, combined team of State Police and Central Forces recovered one Assault Rifle with one Magazine, 12 12-inch Single Bore Barrel Gun, 23 Live Round Ammunitions, and five Fired Cartridge Cases from Gangpijang Hill Range, Kangpokpi District.
The recovered items has been handed over to the concerned Police Station for necessary actions, a Police report said.
On the other hand, security also conducted search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of both hill and valley districts of Manipur.
However, no unwanted incidents were reported during the search operations and area domination, police report said.
