Imphal: BJP candidate for Inner Manipur seat Thounaojam Basanta stated that he cast his vote for unity and integrity of Manipur. It is also for return of peace and resettlement of displaced people (by the communal violence) and development of the entire population of Manipur including the youths and minority groups, he told media persons after casting his vote at Utlou Primary School polling station.
He exuded confidence of his victory indicating that people understand and will give a clear mandate to the policies taken up by the BJP government for protection of Manipur like scrapping of FMR, border fencing, recommendation of NRC.
