Imphal: The State Government the religious leaders, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of the Meitei Pangal community on Wednesday brought a collaborative understanding of the Lilong Chingjao incident.
The collective understanding was brought during a crucial meeting held at the official residence of CM N. Biren Singh, bringing together key stakeholders from the Meitei Pangal community.
In a spirit of unity and shared responsibility, the religious leaders and CSOs have accepted the responsibility of conducting the last rites for the victims of the incident that happened at Lilong Chingjao on New Year’s Eve, January 1, 2024.
It may be recalled here that 4 civilians were murdered and 14 more were injured in an incessant firing by unidentified armed miscreants at Lilong Chingjao on January 1, 2024.
