Imphal: Sangeet Natak Akademi Awardee Ch. Chaotombi Singh has urged the Dance Artistes to express the real language of the dance contending that dance is a kind of language.
He was attending the second day of Festival of Classical Manipur Solo Dance, 2023 organised by Manipur State Kala Akademi in connection with its Golden Jubilee Celebration at Maharaja Chandrakirti Auditorium, Palace Compound here on Friday.
Commissioner of Arts & Culture M. Joy Singh were attended as Functional President.
Speaking to the gathering as Chief Guest, Ch. Chaotombi Singh appealed to all the solo classical dancer t know clearly about the drum (pung).
He also appealed to solo dancer to select beautiful Rythm of Meitei drum (pung) while performing dance, maintaining that it will give more attraction to the audience.
