Thoubal: Actor Silheiba Ningthoujam was adorned with the Best Actor Award in leading role (male) while Best Actor in Leading Role (female) was awarded to Ithoi Oinam at the 11st Manipuri Film Awards (MANIFA) presentation ceremony held at Kakching Dramatic Union Auditorium on Saturday.
The 11st Manipuri Film Awards (MANIFA) presentation ceremony was organised by THOUNA in association with Film Forum Manipur.
Health and IPR Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan graced the event as chief guest while THOUNA president Yengkhom Nilachandra and Film Forum Manipur chairman L Surjkanta Sharma attended as presidium members.
Best Actor in Supporting Role (female) was awarded to Abenao, Best Actor in Supporting Role (male) to Ch Rameschandra (Idhou), Best Costume award to Bimol Taorem, Best Make-up to Priya Devi, Best Child Artiste award to Lamnganbi Laishram, Best Lyricist award to Ojitbabu Ningthoujam for his lyrics Umangna Eikhoigi Thawaini’ in the film Eigi Nupi Tamnalai filmdagi, Best Playback Singer (female) award to Pushparani for the song “Maral leitaba pirangse” in the film Akangba Nachom.
Best Playback Singer (male) was conferred to Sorri Senjam for the Song Pamjaruba Thamoigi in the film
Taxi Da Thoibi, Best Music Director was awarded to Rahul Blue, Best Background Score to Tenao HD in the film Khullaksha.
Best Actor in Negative Role was awarded to Wangjam Bijentakumar in the film Nongmei Paiba Rapist, Best Feature Film on Other Dilaects of Manipur was awarded to Ngavei, Best Direction was awarded to Inaocha Khundrakpam.
Maipak Sanahal Manipuri Jagoi Ishei Lifetime award to conferred to Nameirakpam Manglembabu of Chingmeirong Khongnang Karak, Neta Irawat Leelaroi Lifetime award (Shumangleela) was conferred to Thingnam Biramangol of Kakching Khunyai Leikai while Neta Irawat Leelaroi Lifetime award ( Manipuri Cinema) to Chandam Shyamacharan of Nongmeibung.
Veteran Actors and actresses namely Yengkhom Roma, Kshetrimayum Rashi and Kangabam Tomba who played key roles in the first Manipuri feature film Matamgi Manipur were also honoured on the day.
