Imphal: Water Resource and Relief & Disaster Management Minister Shri Awangbow Newmai attends the celebration of the successful NAAC(National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation of Tamenglong College (with Grade B) at Multipurpose Hall today.
Speaking as the Chief Guest of the function, WRD Minister Shri Awangbow Newmai congratulated the college on achieving this fete. He also said that ” Let us hope this college will be graded higher in the future”. Minister further states that encouragement and co- operation is the very important.
Shri Awangbow Newmai further states that education does not depend on the college but the best
education can be had from the nearest place where our parents economy is not affected and we have freedom. He also encouraged the students not to give up hope. It may be mentioned that NAAC assessment has become a mandatory for all higher educational institutions in the country.
A journal “Ideas and Insights from the Highland” was also released by the dignitaries on the occasion of the function and a short video of NAAC peer team visiting the college was also screened. The function was also attended by MLA,53-Tamenglong AC Shri Janghemlung Panmei, Dr.Rangitabali Waikhom,IAS, Director, University and Higher Education also graced the function as Guest of Honour and President respectively. Teachers, non teaching staffs and students of the college also attended the function.
