Imphal: Zonal Education Officer, Zone-II, Porompat, Imphal East has informed that school
hours of the government/aided/private schools in Imphal East district will start at 8 AM for the academic session 2023-24.
According to an order, ZEO Zone II said that the school timing for the Pre-Primary classes will be 8 AM to 10 AM, Primary (I-V) from 8 AM to 12.30 PM, Upper Primary (VI-VIII) from 8 Am to 1.15 PM and Secondary & Higher Secondary (IX-XII) from 8 AM to 2.15 PM.
It directed all the principals/headmaster/head- mistress of all government/government aided/private schools to follow the school timing until further order. Failure to comply will attract strict action from the
concerned authority, it added.
