Chandel : A one-day Skill Mela was organised by the District Skill Committee, Chandel, at the Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, DC complex, Chandel. The opening function of the Mela was graced by Deputy Commissioner Chandel Mayanglambam Rajkumar, Addl. Deputy Commissioner Chandel Md. Firoj Khan and Assistance Director NIELIT, Laishram Shyamkumar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that not only the government and private skill developers and entrepreneurs, every quarters of the society should join in propagating the need of skill developments which will increase the employ ability of our youths.
He urged the district skill committee to continue finding out the opportunities available and create awareness amongst youths of the districts. As part of the programme, a six-day IT training program for
school teachers was also launched by the Deputy Commissioner.
Altogether 17 government and private skill providers and companies, like ITI, Chandel, JSS, Chandel, CIPET, NIELIT, SYNTAX, JCRE Skill solutions, Eastern Motors, Go Aviation, Green Cane, Meira foods, JACEEX etc took part in the Mela.
Around 200 students, youths and stake holders of the district took part in the Mela. The programme was also attended by District level officers, staffs and other officials of the district.
