10 Myanmarese rounded up in CCpur for infiltration

Churachandpur: Churachandpur Police on Sunday rounded-up ten suspected illegal Myanmarese nationals who were taking shelter at New Lamka area in Churachandpur district.

As per Churachandpur Police, on Saturday at around 3 PM, they received a reliable information that some illegal Myanmarese nationals have been found in Vaal veng, New Lamka area in Churachandpur district.

Accordingly, two teams of Churachandpur Police led by OC/CCP-PS and OC-WPS Churachandpur rushed to the area and conducted search of the locality. While conducting a search operation, suspected illegal Myanmarese were seen running here and there on seeing the police personnel, it said.

After a hot chase among the fields, ten suspected illegal Myanmarese nationals were rounded up. Their names are Zinmai (50), wife of Aung Khai of Monywa, Myanmar; Kyu Kyu (20), daughter of Kyi Soe of Mongwa, Myanmar; Thi Thi (25), daughter of Oophone of Mongwa, Myanmar; Soe Soe (20), daughter of Oophone of Mongwa, Myanmar; Khin Khin (25), wife of Naing Win Tun of Mongwa, Myanmar; Khin Moh Moh Zaw (20), daughter of U Zaw Htet of Mongwa, Myanmar; Zawn Htet (45), son of Than Aung of Mongwa, Myanmar; Aung Khaing (47), son of Nyo Win of Mongwa, Myanmar; Naing Win Tun (23), son of U Than Tun Naing of Mongwa, Myanmar and Lalthakima (52), son of Vanlalmuana of Tahan, Myanmar.

On preliminary verification, they admitted that they came to Churachandpur of different dates and years from Myanmar and taking shelter secretly at Vaal Veng village, New Lamka, Churachandpur.

They were arrested at 4.35 PM for entering India illegally. A case under FIR NO.16(2)2023 CCP-PS u/s 14 Foreigners Act has been registered for investigation, it added.
