AMUCO continues extending aid

Imphal: AMUCO in collaboration with All Manipur Women’s Voluntary Association (AMAWOVA) continued extending help to Covid affected families in different corners of the State. The two organizations have been distributing edible items to families severely affected by Covid-19 pandemic.

President of AMUCO, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, President of AMAWOVA Yumkhaibam Kunjarani, Vice President Wangkhem Ibemma, General Secretary Kshetrimayum Sujata and President of All Thoubal District United Clubs Organization (ATDUCO) took part in the distribution.

A press statement issued by AMUCO Asst General Secretary, M.M Thambou informed that edible items were distributed to 195 families in Thoubal on Friday. AMUCO would continue extending help to families hit by Covid-19 with no source of income due to prolonged imposition of curfew. Rice will also be distributed to the families, it said.

AMUCO on Friday distributed rice to 30 families in Thoubal Athokpam AMAWOVA unit in Khangabok constituency, 15 families in SSCY area in Khangabok Sorok Wangma Part-1, 15 families in MYC area in Khangabok Palli Leikai Part-2, 15 families in LLYDC in Khangabok Mayai Leikai Part-2, 15 families in SEVA area in Khangabok Palli Mayai Leikai Part-2, 15 families in SWC area in Khangabok Khullakpam Leikai Part-2, 15 families in PYDC area in Khangabok Makha Leikai Part-3 and 15 families in RUC area in Khangabok Makha Leikai Part-3, 30 families in Lamgmeithat AMAWOVA unit in Heirok Assembly constituency and 30 families in Salungpham AMAWOVA unit area.

The statement said that AMUCO and AMAWOVA would continue to extend help and distribute edible items to different families affected by Covid-19. It further appealed to the people to support and help one another in such drastic times where each and every person has been severely affected.
