Imphal: In the past twenty-four hours, 753 persons from the general population and 4 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-I9 positive cases. The positive persons were tested at RIMS (71), JNIMS (42), District Hospitals (443) and other testing centres (201).
The Covid-19 Common Control Room disclosed that the positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (230), Imphal West (277).
Thoubal (58), Bishnupur (48), Kakching (30), Ukhrul (9), Churachandpur (62), Chandel (9), Senapati (10), Tamenglong (13), Tengnoupal (5) and Kangpokpi (2). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
The State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee has reported eight Covid-19 deaths. The district wise distributions are Imphal West (2), Imphal East (2), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2) and Churachandpur (1). The cumulative number of deaths is 1614. Out of 8 deaths, 5 persons and co-morbidities and only 2 of them had 1 dose of Covid vaccine and 1078 persons were discharged. They are from Home Isolation (533), RIMS (23), JNIMS (17), CCCs (210) and CHICs (295).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 102,147 (General Population 98,148 and Central Security Personnel – 3,999). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 91,847 (General Population 87,896 and Central Security Personnel -3,951). The number of active cases is 8,686 (General Population -8,643 and Central Security Personnel -43). The recovery rate is 89.91 %.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1665 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 293 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur. The number of doses of Covd-19 vaccine administered on Wednesday is 12490. The cumulative dose is 1360027 (1″st dose 1130261 and 2nd dose 229766).
