Senapati : With Covid-19 pandemic seriously hampering water supply projects, PHE Minister Losii Dikho along with engineers rushed to work sites located at Senapati DHQ areas after the curfew reopened.
The minister visited different locations near BSNL office, Zaikarii colony, Afii Salaki, Makeng Chajingba, Namgailong, Katomei Eden Garden, District Hospital & Maralong colony. He appreciated the concerns of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh and seeking regular updates on the ongoing mega water supply project works at Senapati DHQ areas where water scarcity during dry season is a serious problem and a regular issue. “Under CM Biren Singh’s leadership, many projects in the district have been fulfilled and implemented within these few years, the minister stated.
“Despite the difficulties and delays due to the pandemic, the PHED is determined to complete the project and deliver the promise to the people”, informed the Minister who has been frequently visiting the sites. He directed the PHED officials to speed up the ongoing works to avail water supply to every colony and household as curfew is relaxed and materials are in stock.
At Maralong colony, the minister met the local leaders who requested for reaching the water supply to 190 households. Assuring to deliver the water supply at Maralong, he instructed the officials to connect the pipeline at the earliest.
Earlier, the Minister inspected the residential school complex at Naga Taphou Village. Expressing satisfaction, the minister stated that it is targeted to complete the works by December this year.
