100th episode of PM’s Mann Ki Baat screened at Raj Bhavan

Imphal: With the rest of the country, Manipur also celebrated the 100 th episode of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Maan Ki Baat with the special screening of the episode at Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan at Imphal today .
Prasar Bharati and other media units under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting Government of India, Imphal celebrated the day in a befitting manner at Raj Bhavan ,Imphal where Governor Ms Anusuiya Uikey graced the event as Chief Guest.

At the 100 th Episode of Mann ki Baat Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with entrepreneur Bijyashanti of Thanga Tongbram leikai and congratulated her for the innovative idea and contribution to sustained economy. Bijyashanti was among the audience of the special screening event.
After listening to the Mann Ki Baat, Governor Ms Anusuiya Uikey said that the Prime Minister shared his vision for the country through this program and seeks active participation of citizens in the nation building process. The primary objective of the programme is to create a direct connect between the Prime Minister and the citizens. The speciality of this program is that villagers, farmers, labourers, women working in the fields can listen to it through All India Radio while doing their work.

Governor further said that Mann Ki Baat is not just a radio programme, it is a mirror of the overall development of India and an expression of public participation. Through this programme, people have been motivated to get vaccinated against Covid-19, due to which a large number of vaccination campaigns have been completed in the country. On one hand, the PM has given courage to the people of the country at the time of natural calamity and also encouraged soldiers, sportspersons and children at the time of their examinations. Through this programme, Narendra Modi has made people aware and active not only on social, cultural, economic issues but also on global problems like climate change, waste management, energy crisis, cleanliness and health problems. In this programme, the Prime Minister has been talking to the people on the telephone as well which strengthens the faith of the people in democracy and governance. So far the PM has mentioned 500 individuals and 250 organizations, out of which 105 people have been specially invited to participate in the conference, she added.

At the special screening of 100 th episode of Maan ki baat presentation of brief profile of inspirational personalities from Manipur who have been mentioned by Hon’ble PM in Mann ki baat episodes are the other highlights of the function. Those personalities mentioned by Hon’ble PM from Manipur were Tababi Devi from Mayang Imphal Kokchai Awang Leikai,TS Ringphami Young and Avungshee Shimrey Augustina of Dungrei Hunpung ,Ukhrul ,Th Niranjoy Singh of Narankonjin, Mamang Leikai, Lourembam Bino Devi of
Singjamei mathak Thokchom Leikai,Martina Devi ,Phoijing Chingning ,Nambol and Saikhom Surchandra Singh of Bramapur Bheigabati leikai ,Tensubam leirak ,Imphal East and Bijyashanti of Thanga Tongbram leikai Padma Shri awardee Shanathoi Sharma also participated in the special screening.
A photo exhibition on the theme “Mann ki Baat “ was put up as a part of the celebration.
