Imphal: Despite the Imphal Police Station serving a notice on Thursday to appear before its officer-in-charge by 11 am today, Moirangthem Totomshana Nongshaba, an independent candidate for Manipur inner parliamentary constituency contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha polls has failed to present himself before the police station.
The officer-in-charge of Imphal Police Station has issued a notice summoning him to appear before him by 11 am today by the power conferred to him under sub-section (1) of section 41 A CrPC.
Police are yet to take any action after the independent candidate, who has created quite an uproar after threatening to kill CM N Biren while participating in a political debate at an OTT platform on April 2, failed to comply with the notice.
