IMPHAL, (DIPR): The second round of randomisation of the EVMs and VVPATs to be used in 1319 (one thousand three hundred and nineteen) polling stations of 32 (thirty two) assembly constituencies falling within No. 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency was completed on Friday at Kombirei Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Lamphelpat, Imphal West. Post the randomisation, the commissioning of the EVMs and VVPATs were done under the supervision of the concerned District Election Officers.
The randomisation process commenced at 09:00 am and was carried out in the presence of Th. Kirankumar, Returning Officer, 1-Inner Manipur PC, Imphal West; Dr. Dhavalkumar K. Patel, General Observer of the 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency; Khumanthem Diana Devi, District Election Officer, Imphal East; Ksh. Shivakanta Singh, SP, Imphal West; additional DEOs; Assistant Returning Officers (AROs); Nodal Officers, etc.
Agents of candidates and authorised representatives from recognised political parties also attended the event.
Special Polling Stations have been assigned in all districts falling within No. 1-Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency to ensure Internally Displaced People (IDPs) have facilities to cast their votes.
