Imphal (DIO): District Administration, Kakching on Friday organised the ninth “Meeyamgi Numit” (People’s Day) in respect of Kakching district from 10 am to 2 pm at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Kakching. Altogether 29 line departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day. A total of 427 grievances/applications were received and 223 people have attended.
Deputy Commissioner, Kakching Somorjit Salam inspected the stalls and also distributed Water pump sets and Kharif vegetable seeds to the beneficiaries. Under the PMKSY scheme, the District Officer, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Thoubal/Kakching distributed 10 nos. of water pump sets to 10 beneficiaries. The same department also distributed Kharif vegetable seeds to 10 nos. of selected beneficiaries under MIDH scheme. As informed by the District Officer, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Thoubal/Kakching, the distribution of Kharif vegetable seeds today is for the first time in Kakching district.
District Social Welfare Office, Kakching provided 101 services of MOAPS 31 CMPS, four Caregivers and one CMHT. The Health & Family Welfare Department carried out 18 new registrations under CMHT and received 80 form submissions. The department also issued 28 CMHT cards.
Services provided by DSO (CAF & PD) include making 10 New Ration cards, addition of 30 family members in Ration Card and deletion of four members from Ration Card. 13 registration of Birth and three registration of Death were recorded by MAHUD. The Revenue Department issued 40 income certificates, 30 Birth orders, one residential certificate and one Unmarried certificate. Concerned District Level Officers on the spot organised facilitation centres for beneficiary oriented schemes.
The 9th District Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit were also held at the Lhungtin Village Community Hall, Lhungtin Sub-Division along with the 23 line departments from 9 am onwards. A total number of 293 grievances were registered today, including 213 from Health, 20 from Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, 25 from Social Welfare, 27 Handloom & Textile and eight from Forest.
DC Kangpokpi Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, welcomed the general public and guided them to address their grievances and other issues to the department officials without any hesitation so that they get maximum help and assistance. She inspected various stalls opened by the departments at the community hall and ensured for the smooth conduct of the event.
On the other hand, Sub Divisional Officers, District Level Officers (DLOs) and the staff of various departments addressed the queries/grievances of the general public during the event. As per the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner, maximum services and benefits were provided by the department officials to the general public today.
During the event various services were provided which also included a vaccination program related to health by the medical team led by CMO, including testing of malaria. Cards related to various schemes were also distributed to the beneficiaries.
The District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyamgi Numit for Kamjong district was also observed at Mawai village which is around 10 km from Kasom Khullen sub-divisional headquarters. Organised by the District Administration, Kamjong, the programme was held at the village playground of Mawai.
DC Kamjong Rangnamei Rang Peter, Superintendent of Police P Manjit, top level police and civil officials and other district level officers of the various government departments in the district attended the event, and heard the various grievances of the public as done in preceding months.
Giving his speech, Rangnamei Peter said that the initiative of such a public program from the side of the government is a boon of the public, and they should take maximum use from it. He further added, since Kamjong is geographically very vast, the district administration has been trying to hold this event on ‘rotation wise’ to every corner, and when ‘it is their time; they should take the best out of it’.
In the event that witnessed hundreds of public in attendance, a total number of 35 District Level Offices (DLOs) opened their mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public. Among the most active stalls were the CMO, ICDS, DSWO, MSPDCL, District Forest Office, DIO, CAF&PD, SDO office etc.
Rangnamei also distributed welfare items and cards of various welfare schemes belonging to different departments to many beneficiaries. Mention may be made of the four scholarship sponsorships presented to the four beneficiaries of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) under the Social Welfare department. Also, the district office of CAF&PD distributed NFSA cards to 114 beneficiaries. The DFO also distributed saplings of Leihao, Bokul and Mukthrubi varieties to the villagers free of cost. Punjab and Sind Bank distributed passbooks and acknowledgement cards of PMSPY to the customers. The District Horticulture Office distributed double-cropping seeds to 20 beneficiaries. The DSWO also distributed welfare benefits to the villagers.
The CMO Kamjong also catered to the numerous health-related grievances that were turned up on the spot today.
The ninth “District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit” in respect of Tengnoupal district was held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Tengnoupal.
DC Ranjan Yumnam and District Level Officers interacted with the village heads/chairmen/CSOs. He also instructed officials to give more awareness of the government’s beneficial schemes and expedite all the pending applications.
In today’s event, the Health Department opened a stall of Jan Ayushdhi which enables the public to buy medicine at subsidised rate to 28 nos. of people and avail free health screening.
In today’s event, the Forest Department distribute 341 nos.of tree saplings for planting to 38 individuals. Horticulture & Soil Conservation distributed 59 bags of Ginger, 40 bags 0f Turmeric and 720 Kachai Lemon saplings to 19 beneficiaries. The ICDS officials gave Nutrition Awareness and distributed I pmmvy.
Social Welfare issued three nos. of UDID registration form and also issued one CM Widow Pension Scheme and 2 nos. of maintenance grant for destitute older persons. The Education Department distributed Sanitizer and Deworming Banner to six schools.
PHED provided results to seven numbers of tested water samples. The RD&PR distributed 400 nos. of 7 Register to three Blocks. Handloom & Textiles distributed Pehchan cards to 45 beneficiaries. The Health Department provided 18 nos. of General OPD, two nos. of Immunization, Lab test 11 nos. of samples and screened 38 nos. for CMHA.
DC Tengnoupal, Sub-Divisional Officers, Tengnoupal/Machi/Moreh and other District Level Officers and officials of all the line departments of the district interact and assist the people who turn up for availing beneficiary schemes.
