Zunet Zakah Foundation Manipur organizes prize distribution

IMPHAL: Zunet Zakah Foundation Manipur has organised a prize distribution function where awards were conferred to meritorious students in academic studies. The event which included a session of Career Guidance and Counseling was held at Khelakhong Konjil High School Madrassa on Sunday.

The awards were sponsored by the foundation and distributed to those students from Irong to Khelakhong areas who have scored high marks at the class ten and twelve board examinations conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM.

During the event, Director of Junet Zakah Foundation Md. Nashimuddin conveyed that the main objective of the foundation is to eradicate problems for those who truly wish to study but are unable to afford admission fees due to poverty. He promised to help in overcoming the feeling of pity and regrets of those individuals who find themselves incapable of pursuing their higher studies they so strongly desire. Hence, with the motive to help the contemporary generations the foundation has been awarding students with academic ambitions and offered them counseling sessions every year. The foundation will be awarding a sum of Rs one lakh and Rs fifty thousand to students who successfully clear civil service and NEET examinations, he added.

During the event, Principal of DM College of Science Dr. Raheijuddin Sheikh gave a speech on the topic Vocational Courses and Skill Development; MS Creative School Director Md. Nasir Khan on Role of Parents for an Academic Atmosphere; Global Education and Techno-World Manipur Director Jenat Syed on Importance of Computer Education in our Future Life; and Junet Zakah Foundation Director Md Nashimuddin on Past Present and Future Activities of the Foundation, respectively.

On the other hand, Councilor of Thoubal Municipal Council ward no.1 Okram Inaotombi Devi has also distributed awards to ambitious students during an event of “6th Meritorious Award Ceremony held at Thoubal Okram. During the event Councilor Inaotombi presented blankets to older people, distributed differently abled certificates to eleven persons with disabilities, honoring two artists with presenting gifts, handing over appreciation certificates to Thoubal Kendra Covid-19 Aid Committee issued by DC Thoubal and also presented gifts to volunteers of People for Animals for their huge contribution in safeguarding animals, etc.
