IMPHAL: The Zomi Chiefs Association (ZCA) has condemned in the strongest possible terms the daring broad daylight robbery of the State Bank of India (SBI), Churachandpur branch by unidentified miscreants at around 10:30 AM on September 4, 2020.
In a press release, the ZCA stated that it is reportedly learnt that the robbers decamped with a cash amount of Rs. 1.15 crore after allegedly shooting at Arambarm Ranjan, Cash Replenishing Agent (CRA) who succumbed to injury at around 1:10 PM. This incident stunned the denizens of Lamka town which is reeling under lockdown in the wake of Covid-19.
The ZCA extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family in this moment of loss and sorrow and prayed that his soul may rest in peace. We place our trust on the District Administration and appealed the general public to extend their full cooperation in the ongoing man-hunt to nab the culprits, the association stated.
The association called upon all concerned to condemn the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
