IMPHAL: The Young Vaiphei Association (YVA) joint Head quarter, Imphal and RIMS authority have organised a one day blood donation camp on the theme “Friends of the Distress” at the blood bank of RIMS.
The member of central executive committee Dr. Thathang Vaiphei said that more than 32 volunteers including 4 women stepped up for the blood donation which marked the concluding of the International Blood Donation Month.
It is also said that as a Vaiphei philanthropy organization it had been working for the hills and valley people which are lying under the poverty line for the last two-three decades selflessly during the hour of critical situations like natural disasters, natural calamities, ailments etc.
Further it was mentioned that the YVA stepped out to organise such an event to extend its helping hand to save the life of the concerned needy fellows on hearing the news of blood shortage in the blood banks of RIMS and JNIMS due to Covid-19 pandemic lockdown.
The association sought prayer and cooperation from the people of the state in order to fulfill and satisfy the people.
