IMPHAL: Vishva Hindu Parishad has extended help in evacuating 12 Manipuri students from Agartala.
The group of young students was stranded at Agartala airport when the airline suspended the operation on the way to Imphal via Agartala route on 24th March evening. They spent the night at place nearby Agartala airport.
Getting information about the aggrieved students stranded there, the VHP volunteers and the Law Secretary Datamohan Jamatiya at Agartala jumped out to help them. The Vishva Hindu Parishad became active and the stranded students were brought and quarantined at Agartala. After completing of quarantine period they have been released and kept at a hotel till yesterday. In between the post quarantine period local Manipuri community came in forward to help them too. They left for Imphal via Jiribam route on Tuesday. Having spent a night at Jiribam, they left for Imphal from Jiribam on Wednesday.
