IMPHAL: Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister V Hangkhanlian, along with Works Minister Thongam Bishwajit, met Union Minister of Animal Husbandary, Giriraj Singh and urged him to provide benefits to the farmers and unemployed youths of the state under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan Scheme.
During the interaction, the Union minister informed that the 90 percent of fund under Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan Scheme is provided to the beneficiaries in the form of loan and subsidy while 10 percent is beneficiary margin money. He told the ministers to submit project detailed report at the earliest so that he could extend all possible help.
They discussed on taking up suitable projects that would give a thrust towards improving economy of the unemployed youths, and farmers under Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development programme.
The Union minister patiently heard the suggestions of the two ministers. He also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi Government is pro-North East.
Power Minister Th Bishwajit also met the CEO NHPC and discussed matters related to commissioning of the Loktak Downstream project. The CEO also reportedly assured clearance to commissioning the project once the state cabinet clears it.
