IMPHAL: The directorate of environment and climate change has carried out tree plantation along with the initiatives of the Yaralpat Integrated Farming Corporative Ltd at the surrounding of Yaralpat under the theme “Time for Nature” in connection with the World Environment Day which is observed on June 5 every year.
The environment and climate change director Dr.Y. Nabachandra said that such activities were initiated taking importance on the existence of living beings, who depend completely on the nature. He said the healthy reservation of forest and nature can easily protect from greenhouse effect.
It is a time to rethink the importance of our health amidst this critical situation and to fight the pandemic by keeping the surrounding hygienic and protecting the natural environment. Also, it is a time to understand the important contributions of nature, he added.
