Bishnupur: A one-day training cum capacity building on PMSV Anidhi (Hawkers’ loan) programme was organized by the National Hawkers Federation Manipur state at the conference hall of Bishnupur Municipal Council office on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by National Hawkers Federetion (NHF) General Secretary Shaktiman Ghosh, NHF Manipur State General Secretary Ksh. Tama and ATY ATA Team Leader M. Nandakumar.
During the event, Shaktiman Ghosh stated that Covid-19 pandemic have been affecting poor people in terms of basic daily needs and health issues concern.
PMSV ANidhi Scheme mainly focuses on providing loans, and now street vendors can also apply for the beneficial scheme that is targeting to provide on almost 29 states of the country, he enlightened.
As per the government notification, Whole sale stores are given access to open while daily earner street vendors were not allowed due to pandemic situations. He appealed the street vendors to apply for the loans on maximum of Rs 50,000 that would be of 7% interest per year which somehow can help to lighten the burden of poverty.
During the event being attended by street vendors of around Bishnupur District areas, Ksh Tama told that the government will be provide recognition not street vendor under the scheme and appealed all to help themselves get benefit of the scheme.
