Aimed to establish Printing Institute in Manipur: Dr. N Saratchandra
IMPHAL: The All India Federation of Master Printer (AIFMP) held its 248th Governing Council Meeting, first of its kind in Manipur being hosted by All Manipur Press Association (AMPA) at Hotel Grande on Wednesday.
During the round tabled meeting, President of AIFMP Digbijay Kalita enlightened that AIFMP is the one and only apex body of Indian Printing Industry and draws its strength from 84 regional affiliate associations around the country and it supports, participates, organised a number of regional, national and international events with the aim of lobbying for the interests of the Indian printers, showcasing the Indian printing industry’s achievements and holding Technical Seminars for educating the printers about global trends and technologies. It mainly concerned to articulations of the Indian printing industry at national and international level, and to work towards improvement of conditions in the Indian printing industry. He recommended for making representations to the Government or to other bodies to represent the printing industry on any committees, commissions or other similar organisations or bodies set up for the purpose as an institution in the state.
Vice President of AMPA Dr. N Saratchandra told the press that it is a forth-stepping achievement of (AMPA) to acknowledge that the least contribution made by the association has lead to recognition by All India Federation of Master Printer (AIFMP) in improving the technical knowledge of all concerned in the industry by establishing apprenticeship schemes, conducting technical schools and technologies in cooperation with the Government, universities, municipalities and other public bodies, individuals and business houses in establishing and running such institutions and by securing or awarding scholarships and prizes to study markets, develop new products and additional uses of printing and to develop better methods of sales management and plant management.
