Tangmai /Cucumber Festival not be held this year due to COVID-19

IMPHAL: In a circular handed out to the press the General Secretary of Young Paite Association  GHQ , Mr. Lianmuanthang Valte  said that the annual event of Tangmai /Cucumber Festival,  that was held since 2018, will not be held this year due to Covid19 in compliance to  the Government’s order on  restriction of public gatherings.

The Gen. Secy of YPA GHQ stated  that they are thankful for the preparation and enthusiasm shown  by the farmers saying that it was unfortunate that it had to be cancel due to Covid19 while  asking all the people to look forward to have a Grand Tangmai /Cucumber Festival in 2021.

We had been blessed in the past two years of our festival where we get  recognition and help from the Government of Manipur and though we cant have a festival as such this year lets all , on the 8th of August (second Saturday where the Tangmai festival was  organised) have the mood of Tangmai festival wherever we are said the Secretary.

The Young Paite Association GHQ, Mr. Lianmuanthang Valte  has announced that the annual event of Tangmai /Cucumber Festival,  that was held since 2018, will not be held this year due to Covid-19 pandemic situation in compliance with the Government’s order on  restriction of public gatherings.

In a press release issued by its general secretary it was stated that they are thankful for the preparation and enthusiasm shown by the farmers saying that it was unfortunate that it had to be cancelled due to Covid19 pandemic and requested all the people to look forward to have a Grand Tangmai /Cucumber Festival in 2021.
