Thoubal: The Lilong Haoreibi College Students’ Union has warned to boycott the upcoming 6th semester examination which is scheduled to start from 18 of this month.

A press release signed by its finance secretary Md. Sadam Khan demanded immediate bringing of a just and fair amicable solution to the issue of the principal at the earliest. The Union is always ready to have a talk with the concerned authorities keeping in the interest of the student community, the release added.

The student union also warned that if the government tries to keep the agitation down by using unfair practices, several unwanted incidents may happen and asserted that the government shouldn’t invite such incidents.

Md. Sadam Khan also stated that the Fact Finding Committee which is formed by the Director of Higher and Technical Education in connection with the issue of the college shouldn’t hide the truths lying behind the scandal of the principal. The Union is demanding immediate suspension of Principal Dr. A. Surendrajit and had shown to the Fact Finding Committee many prima facie evidences against the principal of misappropriating college funds, but the committee remains silent in the matter, Khan stated.

The Union can’t tolerate this and for the sake of minority students, the union has decided to boycott the upcoming semester examination until and unless the authority concerns turn the demands into action, the release warned.
