State sees decline in number of quarantined persons, only 195 persons remain

IMPHAL: The state has seen a drastic decline in numbers of persons under Home Quarantine and Government Quarantine after 602 persons out of 797 have completed their quarantine period. Only 195 persons are currently under quarantine restrictions.

According to a status report updated by State Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Manipur at 6.49 PM on Thursday, 414 persons out of 486 under Home quarantine and 188 persons of 311 have completed their quarantine period. 16 new persons have been admitted at the Government quarantine centres.

Altogether 188891 persons who entered the state through different entry points including Imphal airport have been screened so far.

On Thursday, 220 persons who entered the state were screened at Mao gate and 141 at Jiribam. No persons entered the state through Moreh, Behiang, Sinzawl, Tusom and Kamjong on the day.

Except for the two positive cases of COVID-19, the state has so far no new positive cases of COVID-19 as the result of 197 samples sent for lab test confirmed negative results. Altogether, 182 samples were sent to RIMS and JNIMS and 15 samples to NIV, Pune for testing.

Notably, the state recently had two confirmed cases of COVID-19. Luckily, one of the two, a female, currently staying at JNIMS isolation ward, confirmed negative in the third test.
