State Police Department Begins Making Face Masks

Imphal: Manipur Police Department has begun stitching face masks which will be issued to the police officers and personnel to supplement the masks that have been distributed to them so far. A press release issued by SP/NAB, PRO, Police Department, W. Basu Singh, stated that the initiative was taken up to meet the requirement of masks for Manipur Police officers and personnel who are performing an important and challenging job in the field for containment of the spread of Covid-19 in the State. The press release also stated that apart from Manipur Police Department, Manipur Rifles and Indian Reserve Battalions have also begun making and stitching face masks at their respective Battalion Headquarters. Police Department has appreciated the sincere efforts put in by the rank and file in the fight against Covid-19 in the State on a day-to-day basis at odd hours and under difficult situations, the release stated. Police Department also urged one and all in the department to continue to work with devotion in the service of the people of the State while taking utmost care of their personal safety, the release added.
