IMPHAL: Teachers of SSA and RMSA showed their gratefulness to the state government led by N. Biren Singh and other concerned authorities for passing a resolution to the effect of absorbing SSA and RMSA teachers as regular state employees during the last Cabinet meeting Friday.
The statement of appreciation was made during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club on Saturday.
Addressing to media persons, vice-president of Joint SSA and RMSA Nongmaithem Prakashchandra said that teachers of the joint SSA and RMSA association have been organizing different kinds of demonstrations in a democratic way starting from January 13 till January 24 (12 daylong) pressing the state government on various demands and a permanent solution to the suffering of the teachers.
But during the state Cabinet meeting held on January 24, the cabinet meeting passed a resolution that the entire teachers of SSA and RMSA will be absorbed as state employees and to make provisions of benefits at par with other state government teachers. The teachers of SSA and RMSA gave its appreciation to the state government led by N. Biren Singh, Minister of Education Th. Radheshyam Singh and to Chief Secretary Dr. S Suresh Babu and all the cabinet ministers, MLAs and other officials of department of education (s).
He also showed his appreciation to all the media fraternity, students unions, local bodies and entire stakeholders in the state for their limitless support to them in their struggle for recognition as government employees.
