The 6 MLAs had also abstained from the single day monsoon session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly held on Monday.

However, the Speaker has put the resignation of MLA Paonam Brojen of Wangjing Tentha on hold in view of a pending disqualification case against the MLA. On the other hand, Speaker’s Tribunal of the Manipur Legislative Assembly has fixed August 14 for delivery of judgment and order in connection with the disqualification case of MLA Paonam Brojen.
