IMPHAL: All India Youth Federation MSC has expressed its gratefulness and extended co-operation to the state government on the latter’s arrangement to bring back home people from Manipur stranded in others states but has appealed the government to set up adequate centers beforehand for their quarantine.
In a press release issued by AIYF, MSC Secretary Kh Himalay, it was stated that the government should start the preparation of setting up well sanitized quarantine centers with adequate amount of necessary food items and medical supplies. Temporary constructions of quarantine centers in their respective constituencies need to be completed in time, otherwise there might be cause of panic situations over the outbreak of infection. Therefore AIYF MSC appeals to the government, local clubs and Meira Paibi organisations in the state to fully continue to co-operate the authorities in fighting COVID-19, it stated.
Kh Himalaya further warned the authorities that it is a matter of high risk that people stranded outside are being brought back home if additional precautionary measures have not been taken up. This will make the hardship of undergoing more than a month of home restriction fruitless and throw down the pain the people have endured down the drain. The government will be fully responsible if there is fresh outbreak of the virus in the aftermath of the arrival of the people stranded outside the state and there were loopholes in the manner of the quarantining process, the AIYF MSC asserted.
