Bishnupur: A 3-day Sansitisation cum Workshop Programme on “National Education Policy (NEP) 2020” kicked off on Thursday at St. John English High School, Nambol organised by Bishnupur District Recognised Private Schools Association (BDRPSA).

The first day of the Programme witnessed the presence of President United Association gi of Recognized Schools of Manipur L. Joy, President BDRPSA cum Chairman of Little Birds English School Moirang H. Bira Singh, Vice President of the Association cum Director St. John’s English High School W. Lokendro and Vice President of the Association cum Vice President of TIMES Thanga Dr. N. Yaima as the presidium members.

Child Psychologist Dr. M. Nabakumar and Assistant Professor of DM College of Teachers Education Imphal Professor Kh. Dinesh attended as resource persons and elaborated about National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on the first day of the Programme.

Speaking in the programme, L. Joy said that many of the founded schools in the state faced various inconveniences like lack of proper infrastructures and most of the guardians took it in the wrong way due to un-acknowledgement of the changing policies of education by many founders of the schools.

Thus, this very programme is a must to avoid such ocurrances, he added.

L. Joy further said that if the Founder of the schools does not know the rules and regulations, than they also will not be able to guide the teachers on how the students should be teach and guided. Therefore, Founders of the Schools need to understand the rules and regulations properly and thoroughly beforehand, he said.

Representatives of different privates schools who are also the members of  Bishnupur District Recognised Private Schools Association are taking part in the training programme.
