SEACO hails CM for entrustment on Koubru Hills

Imphal: The South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO) has shown its appreciation to the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh for fulfilling the entrustment on the protection of Sacred Site of Lord Koubru and Lai Pukhri located at Koubru hill range under Manipur Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1976.

In a press release issued by SEACO Gen Secy K. Ibochouba Kha-Nganba stated notably mentioned that a memorandum in regard was submitted to Chief Minister N. Biren with attested copies including (former) Chief Secretary, (former) Art Culture Minister, Commissioner, and Superintendent of Archeology Office by the organization on April 28, 2017 that includes the names list of all the historical monuments of Manipur so as to protect, preserve, acknowledge and promote under the Historical Monument Act. The sacred site of Lord Koubru was the number one list and Thangjing site in number 25th list was enlisted on the memorandum, added the press release

Therefore, SEACO applauded CM Biren and concerned authorities for understanding the soulful appeals in the interest of the people of the state and sought attention for expecting more of such sacred indigenous historical sites, inclusive of all in the state.
