IMPHAL: State Bank of India is organising a three-day long outreach programme on financial inclusion commencing from Wednesday, under the initiative of Department of Financial Services India (DFSI) at Panthoibi Community Hall, Lungwangsangbam, in Imphal East district.
During the opening ceremony assistant general manager of SBI Regional Business Imphal, L. Hangshing said that for the conveniences of public on financial inclusion the outreach program is being conducted in every north-east state.
All inclusive financial inclusion drive was being taken up to reach out to the general population and enhance the values of bank experience and acknowledgement of banking system. He further said that throughout the three-day program all inclusive financial inclusion drives for all public sector banks will offered.
The main points to be taken up at the outreach programme will be on bank account opening (BSBD) under PMJDY, distribution and activation of RuPay cards, Aadhaar seeding and authentication with consent of account-holders, on boarding merchants’ on various digital payments platform, enrolment for Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Jojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), and awareness facilitation of agricultural credits, credits through SHGs, KKC, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), e-Mudra and other MSME loans etc, he added
Pradhan Lungwangsangbam, S. Angom Singh, expressed his gratefulness to the organizing committee and all the commercial bankers operating in Manipur for conducting an outreach program on financial inclusion at the location which can enrich the common people. He assured cooperation for the success of the programme.
The programme was attended by chief manager of Regional Business Office of Babupara Imphal, Nongmaithem Nimai Singh; assistant general manager of UBI, R. Samanta, and assistant general manager of SBI Imphal, Girindra Sharma.
