KANGPOKPI: State Bank of India, Kangpokpi and Gamnom Saparmeina Branch came forward in reaching out to the Health Centres of Kangpokpi District with Foot Operated Hand Washing Station amid the pandemic COVID-19 in the District.
The SBI Kangpokpi and Gamnom Saparmeina Branch had donated a Foot Operated Hand Washing Station each to District Hospital Kangpokpi, CHC Saikul, PHC Kalapahar, PHC Saitu Gamphazol and PHC Motbung.
Chief Medical Officer, Kangpokpi District, Dr. T. Nilakanta Singh said that the SBI Kangpokpi Branch had donated one each Foot Operated Hand Washing Station at District Hospital Kangpokpi, CHC Saikul and PHC Kalapahar while SBI Gamnom Saparmeina Branch had donated the Foot Operated Hand Washing Station at PHC Saitu Gamphazol and PHC Motbung.
The Medical supremo also said that hand washing being one of the essential steps to prevent from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, such an appropriate step at the right time on the part of SBI is a blessing for the public and the health department in particular.
Dr. T. Nilakanta Singh on behalf of the district health department expressed appreciation and gratitude upon the State Bank of India for the generous contribution for the welfare of the people and the health workers in particular.
