With regards to COVID-19, the MLA said that these were crucial times and only fencing localities and lanes will not help contain the virus or bring about a solution but rather a hindrance. Hence we should stop all such activities and instead maintain proper SOP guidelines and join hands to defeat the dreaded Covid 19, the MLA suggested.

We should combat the dreaded virus together and by the by we should also ponder over the saving of environment together, he pleaded.

He said that during such a time of crisis, the Lamjao part (i) Development Association had profoundly performed a gigantic work of planting 180 numbers of  Bokul saplings along the stretch of two kilometres long road and christening the road as “Bokul Road”. It was indeed a great job, he lauded.

Saying that such christening of road as Bokul Road, Leihao Road, Uningthou Road etc.. might make us feel closer to environment, Munal Metei stated that it was really a good step. “Let us make our state a beautiful land to live in by planting more trees of same species in every road or lanes as did at Lamjao today,” the forest officer appealed.
