IMPHAL: The Rongmei Naga Students’ Organisation (RNSO) has expressed strong displeasure with the Tribal Affairs & Hills department for not releasing the pending Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship for 2019 -2020.
As per the press release of RNSO, it was stated that the students’ body deliberated on the matter and resolved in its consultative discussion that the Pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship for the Schedule Tribe students are still pending since for the two Year, i,e 2019-2020.
Hence, the organization earnestly requested the concern authorities to disburse the pending scholarship as the students are short on financial inconveniences and various study related activities and to maintain their daily demands due to Covid-19 issue.
It also mentioned that the organization shall be compelled to resort to stern action against the authority if the requests were not heeded and needful is not done. The students’ body also took a strong note on the culture of the concerned authorities having no seriousness on the particular matter.
In this regard the students body urged the concerned authorities to take up necessary immediate action within the specific time and also appealed to the general public to support the genuine cause in the interest of the students’ community and for their general welfare.
The RNSO has taken a stand that its demands should be fulfilled at the earliest possible time before the new academic session commences. It also warned that non-fulfillment of the said notice will invite severe form of agitations which are relevant in the offing for which the concerned authorities should be solely responsible, said RNSO.
