IMPHAL: The Rilram Area Maring Organization (RAMO), Tengnoupal district has appealed to the state government to implement the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) for the area, reminding that it had been put aside since 2017.
A press release from RAMO further stated that negligence in execution of the BADP since 2017 tantamount to subjugating ones right of development perspective. So far as eastern Maring area bordering Myanmar is concerned, there has been no problem in implementation of BADP during the same period. Therefore, RAMO is strongly urging the concerned authority to implement the BADP within March 2020, it stated.
If the state government fails to execute the said developmental programme within the given time, then the organization will initiate any form of agitations in collaboration with various CSOs of Tengnoupal district, Manipur, it warned.
