Recovery rate rises to 83.02% with 622 discharged in 24 hours; cumulative cases cross 20K-mark

Imphal: Recovery rate of the COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 83.20 percent on Saturday after 622 patients were discharged over the last 24 hours.

According to COVID Common Control Room, 622 persons were discharged over the last 24 hours.

They are from CAPF (42), Home Isolation (466). RIMS (18), JNIMS (5), LKK (16), UNACCO (20), LANVA (2), Kasom Khullen (2), PR Kakching (1), RD Wing (3), Bal Bhavan (15), Bishnupur (14), Tamenglong(1), Jiribam (3), Moreh (3), Thoubal (9) and Lamding (2), as per the Control Room.

Meanwhile, 226 persons (13OM, 96F) from general population and 14 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVIDI9 positive cases in the same time period.

The positive persons were tested at JNIMS (60), RIMS (23), Imphal East (8), Maipakpiv(2), Mother’s Care (1), Shija Hospital (11), Raj Medicity(15), RD Wing (2), Escent

Diagnostics (2), Hillside (1), Imphal Hospital (3), Samaritan (2), Christian Hospital (3),

Little Clinic (3), Tamenglong (39), Kangpokpi (4), Thoubal (14), Bishnupur (7),BKamjong (1), Churachandpur (16), Jiribam (3), Ukhrul (2) and Babina Diagnostics (18), as per the COVID Common Control Room.

The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West (55), Imphal East (72), Thoubal (16), Bishnupur (9), Kakching (), Kangpokpi (7), Tamenglong (40), Senapati (3), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (12), Tengnoupal (4), Jiribam (3), Kamjong (1) and Chandel (1).

All are locals without any significant travel history. They are being shifted to the Covid Care facilities, the Control Room said.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

Moreover, three persons aged 75 yrs (female, Imphal West), 80 yrs (male, Thoubal) and 93 yrs (male, Imphal West) expired at JNIMS and RIMS (2) Hospital respectively in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative number of deaths to 194.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 20,131 (General Population -17,306 and Central Security Personnel – 2,825). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 16,714 (General Population 14,166 and Central Security Personnel 2,548). The number of active cases is 3,223 (General Population 2,950 and Central Security Personnel -273).

The recovery rate is 83.02 %.
