Bishnupur: Thirty six sites in 6 Assembly Constituencies under Bishnupur District have been identified where quarantine centre will be opened for those people from the district who are currently stranded in outside states due to Covid-19 lockdown, after they are brought back to Manipur.
Meeting of discussion on the condition of the reckoned centres was held at the DC Bishnupur New Mini Secretariat Conference Hall.
The meeting presided by Chairman KVIB and also MLA Oinam A/C L. Radhakishor was attended by DC Bishnupur Neeta Arambam, Adhakshya Bishnupur Zilla Parishad Dr. Romabai Lairenjam, SDOs of Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang, Chairpersons of Municipal Council, Pradhan and representatives of MLAs of 6 Assembly Constituencies of Bishnupur District.
MLA Radhakishor maintained that around 3000 persons from Bishnupur District have been identified to be stranded at other different states and it is suspected that the total stranded persons from the district itself might reach 5000.
The MLA further stated that the maintenance of the reckoned centres will be done after discussing with PWD Department and the survey of the reckoned centres will be completed by Monday.
The meeting also discussed to make every required facility available to the quarantine patients.
