Properties stolen from school

IMPHAL: Some unknown miscreants have broken into the Nodia Upper Primary School located at Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai under Imphal West district on Thursday in the wee hours and decamped with several items.

Briefing to media persons in connection with the incident, headmistress of the school Laishram Dhaneshwori said that today some unknown miscreants have stolen a 200 litre plastic water reservoir and a gas cylinder and stove.

She further said that the same incident has been occurred in the past when aluminum utensils, flower pots and cooker along with other items were stolen. Today, a similar incident has happened again, added the hadmistress.

In connection with the incident, president of Naharol Leishemba Club Pratap Leishangthem said that the cooking materials that were kept for the students of the school were among those stolen. The club has asserted that it will not take the incident lightly.
