Imphal: Amid the lockdown and curfew imposed in the state, team of Lilong Police Station has arrested three individuals along with Talab Pan Masala (tobacco products) from Lilong Bazar area on Friday.
According to police source, one MD. Habibur Rahaman (67 years), son of late Md. Ajijullah of Lilong Turel Ahanbi Kaleikhong Makha was arrested from Lilong Bazar at around 7 pm of the same day and 33000 pieces/pouches each of Talab Royal Pan Masala and T-5 Royal Chewing Tobacco were seized.
At around 10 pm latter in the night, one MD. Baharul (19), son of (L) Haji Liyakat Ali of Lilong Makha Leikai was also arrested from Lilong Bazar and 3300 pieces/pouches each of Talab Royal Pan Masala and T-5 Royal Chewing Tobacco were seized. One hour afterwards one Md. Manir Khan (35), son of MD. Najeruddin of Sangaiyumpham Yangbi Leikai was arrested from Lilong Alia Lamkhai and 450 pieces/pouches each of Talab Royal Pan Masala and T-5 Royal Chewing Tobacco was recovered.
Three different FIRs are registered at Lilong Police Station and investigation is going on.
