Former Corporator of IMC Ward No 20 L Tombi, former Corporator of Ward No 14, S Rita Devi and former Corporator of Ward No 18, L Inunganbi Devi also took part in the programme.

Speaking as the Chief Guest, Minister Satyabrata said the BJP-led government has been working for all round development of the State and has succeeded in fulfilling aspirations of the people which the previous governments failed to do so.

Asserting that politics is not about amassing personal gains but it is about striving for the welfare of future generation and the society as a whole, he said that the State has made tremendous progress in every aspect under the BJP government.

Emphasising on Go to Hills and Go to Village initiatives taken up for the welfare of the people of the State, he said that government treats each and every person equally and has been reaching out to nook and corner of the State without any bias.

He mentioned that with the notable work done by the leaders of the State, there would be a time when people will automatically cast their votes to the saffron party even if its candidates do not hold campaigns for canvassing votes.

Sharda made it clear that party ticket would not be given merely to anyone but it will be given to those devoted candidates chose by the people. She said many development programmes and schemes have been taken up by the government solely for the welfare of the people.

Maintaining that workers must be well informed of the schemes and the programmes initiated by the government, she said youth and women play a pivotal role in the society and politics must be seen a platform through which a leader could serve the people in various capacities. She said that the State under the BJP rule has witnessed drastic changes in the past four and half years, which is a clear sign of firm commitment exhibited by the incumbent government.

The State BJP chief questioned whether the Congress party even after 75 years of independence has taken up any notable development programmes for the youth and women of the State.

Sharda went on to say that before joining a political party one must study the aims and objective of the particular party and must not turn back once he/she joins it. In order to work for the State, one must study the politics and history of the State thoroughly and BJP is the only party which could be trusted, she said, adding that the BJP would form the next government with the unflinching help of the people.

Every BJP worker must work together for development of the respective constituency. They should not compromise the party by going against the guidelines of the party. Every Mandal of the party must also work under the constitution and guidelines of the party, she added.
