NSUC congratulates

IMPHAL: Thee Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC) has congratulated Dilbung Robert Shetkintong Lamkang, son of Shetwor and Leivon Shanting from Keithelmanbi (Phantu Khudam) village, located under Chandel district on being appointed as India’s Ambassador to Federal Republic of Ethopia.
In a press statement of NSUC signed by its president Langhu David, it was stated Robert Shetkintong Lamkang obtained an M.Phil degree in Political Science from JNU in Delhi. He joined Indian Foreign Services (IFS) in the year 2001 and has served in Indian missions abroad including Israel, Italy, Slovenia and in Tanzania. It was said that he is presently holding a post of Joint secretary (Parliament and Coordinator) in the Ministry of External Affairs.
Langhu David further in statement said that NSUC also expressed immense gratitude to the government of India for recognizing the services of Robert Shetkintong Lamkang by honouring him with such a prestigious post. Langhu is the first IFS and Indian Ambassador from his native place, Chandel district, Manipur. The union wishes him every success in his future endeavours.
