New Polling Station at Songpeh village inaugurated

Ccpur: The Chairman of MANIREDA and former MLA of 60-Singngat AC Ginsuanhau Zou on Saturday inaugurated the Polling Station at Songpeh village, which will be used for the coming  by-elections necessitated after Zou had resigned last month and the constituency was declared unrepresented. The by-election is expected to be held by November, 2020.

The program was attended by 12 chiefs of the area and social workers where the former MLA said that he had resigned from his membership of the State Assembly to save the Government of the Chief Minister of Manipur N Biren who was working for the good of the people and the frontal organisations like UPF and KNO who are under SoO and in talks with the government.

He said that as he dared to resign for the good of the people and he expected that he will be re-elected, preferably unopposed, which was echoed by other speaker like Robert Haokip who praised the ex-MLA for his bold decision to resign for the good of all and said that he must be re-elected as he had the support of the present Goverment and frontal organisations like UPF and KNO.

In the afternoon, the Chairman of MANIREDA also attended the Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi GHQ Meritorious awards, 2020 for classes X and XII, where he distributed the meritorious awards to twelve students among Zou community who had excelled in various subjects at the board examinations. The function was attended by leaders of UZO and ZYO GHQ  and Mualum MDC Grace Zamnu and others.
