MSF inspects schools, finds them in critical conditions

TMB Report

IMPHAL: With the aim of ensuring the welfare of the entire student’s community in the state, a school survey team of Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) under its academic campaign “Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi” inspected a couple of schools namely Khambi Primary School and Kodompokpi Mamang Leikai Primary School, which were found to be in critical conditions.

During the inspection, the MSF school survey team came across use of different types of intoxicants and gambling inside the classrooms of Kodompokpi Mamang Leikai Primary School. The survey team of MSF also came across a toilet construction under one programme namely “Construction Toilet under Cooperate Social Responsibility programme Clean School Clean India Campaign” and under the sponsorship of Airport Authority of India (AAI), but it was of very inferior standard. The MSF invited the contractor responsible for the construction to provide the opportunity to have a discussion on the matter, said the press release of MSF.

The MSF further appealed to the state government not to function only for taking political mileage and leave the narrow minded view and take up the mission of “School Phagathansi Mission” with sincerity keeping in consideration the future of the welfare of the students and Manipur society, added the press release.
