MSF detects woes of schools during inspection

IMPHAL: As a part of the Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamshi campaign, Manipuri Students’ Federation team inspected Malom Tulihal Boys’ Primary school, Utlou High School, Phoijing Chingmang Primary School on Monday.

MSF Publicity secretary Sundar Khuman in a statement said that during the inspection, the survey team of MSF found only three teachers manning the Malom Tulihal Boys’ Primary School. It was also found that the cook of the school has been deprived of honorarium for a year and the teachers were contributing from their pocket to pay his honorarium.

The Utlou High School having around 100 students was found running with no desk, bench, or chairs as the said infrastructures have been shifted by the ZEO office, Bishnupur to an exam centre of the ongoing HSLC examination 2020. The MSF team found all schools functioning with improper toilets, kitchen and other infrastructures, it said while urging the government to look after such deplorable conditions and poor infrastructures the government schools are currently facing in the larger interest of the students.
