IMPHAL: The Manipuri Meitei Association Bangalore (MMAB) in pursuance of its continuous support for the well-being of people from the state based in Bengaluru, during the prevailing crisis related to COVID-19, has announced that it will continue with the next phase of distribution of food package of 5 kg rice, 1 Kg of dal, 1 litre oil, salt, biscuit among others.
According to its schedule, the programme will be carried out on April 12, 2020, 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm at Mahadevapura Government High School and on April 13 at the same time at Ejipura Bus Stand.
In a press release MMAB further said that the association requested all the people, brothers and sisters from all walks of life from Manipur based in Bengaluru, who are in need of food ration to reach out to MMAB for any clarification in the given contact numbers, Yambem Arun 9886605739; Romen Thokchom 7005019231; T. It is said that the association will not be in a position to cover all the locations in Bengaluru due to many factors in the prevailing environment.
The MMAB expressed its deepest gratitude to Bengaluru Police especially DCP East, Anucheth and his team, DCP SE Shrinath Joshi and his team for their out of way support to the community in ensuring their wellbeing, and also to Col Christopher Rego and Sunbird Trust.
