KANGPOKPI: Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen on Saturday pledged to hand over the Rs. 25 lakh from her MLA Local Area Development funds to the Deputy Commissioner Kangpokpi sanctioned to all the MLAs for utilizing to combat the highly contiguous pandemic COVID-19 in her constituency.
The Minister announced this today in a joint meeting with all the District Level Officers of Kangpokpi in the presence of Lalithambigai Kalidas, IAS, DC Kangpokpi and Hemant Pandey, IPS, SP Kangpokpi at Conference Hall, DC Office Kangpokpi.
The Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen, who is also the local MLA of Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency and also in-charge Minister of Kangpokpi and Senapati with regards to COVID-19 said that the amount will be immediately hand over through proper channel to the DC Kangpokpi and it shall be use only for procuring medical kits and others related only with the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 in Kangpokpi AC.
However, the Minister cautioned that the funds shall not be misused and all report with regards to utilization of the funds be submitted to her by the Deputy Commissioner.
The District in-charge Minister also asked the concerned SDOs to talked with their respective ACs MLA and utilized the concerned constituencies funds accordingly in combating the pandemic COVID-19 in the respective ACs and submitted the report to her in proper channel.
It may be mentioned that, the Government had sanctioned Rs. 25 lakhs each to all the MLAs of the state through their respective local area development funds to be utilized in their respective ACs only in COVID-19 related matters.
While chairing the DLOs meet, Minister Nemcha Kipgen strictly cautioned that the NFSA rice in all the sub division of the District shall be distribute only through the respective FPS Agents while the distribution shall be strictly supervised by the concerned SDO and village chief while cautioning that no village chiefs is authorized to distribute or intervene in the distribution of the rice stating that their duty is only to supervise the distribution.
She also asked all the SDOs to submit detail report of the distribution through proper channel without fail.
The Minister also asked the Chief Medical Officer to identified an appropriate place for quarantine centre at Kangpokpi DHQs under the supervision of the District Administration and report the same at the earliest while instructing all the doctors to be stationed at the District Headquarters and located BITES centre for male doctors and DC complex quarters for female doctors.
She also located Inspection Bungalow to be temporary occupied by the Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi.
Many other important issues with regards to combating the pandemic COVID-19 in the District was deliberate during the DLOs meet.
The Minister also continued lauding the sacrifice and services of all frontline workers including the District Administration, police Department, medical Department, etc. and the relentless support and cooperation of the civil bodies in the fights against the deadly pandemic COVID-19 in the District so far thereby maintaining the District one of the best COVID-19 warriors.
She also exhorted the District Level Officers to maintained their worthy contribution towards the District in the war against the pandemic virus and also in the management of providing essential needs to the people despite of all hardships and difficulties.
