KANGPOKPI: Tirelessly unleashing the spirit humanity at least at times of crisis, the determination to work together, the courageous to fight and end the health crisis, selflessness, unity, love and commitment, the district COVID in-charge Minister, Nemcha Kipgen played a pivotal role as ‘strength to the people’ in the fight against the deadly pandemic COVID-19 in Kangpokpi district.
Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen, who is also in-charge Minister of Kangpokpi and Senapati for COVID-19 was stupendously praised and lauded for her exemplary role in the ongoing pandemic COVID-19 crisis by the voluntary civil bodies frontline workers in a farewell day of catering service for returnees today.
Earlier, Kangpokpi Christian Church (KCC) took the responsibility of catering service for returnees for one month before Kuki Baptist Convention Centre Church Kangpokpi take the responsibility for another one month which will be culminated tomorrow.
The farewell catering service at KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi was attended by Somorjit Salam IAS, DC Kangpokpi, Chunglenmang Kipgen, MCS in-charge of Quarantine Centres in Kangpokpi town, member of KBC Centre Church leader including women society and youth fellowships.
“Everything with regards to achievements and success in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 in the district could happened because of the selfless active role of Minister Nemcha Kipgen who exhibited in reality service to mankind is service to God”, said NS. Gangte, member of KBC Centre Church, Kangpokpi.
He continued that the Minister strongly advocate the spirit of service to mankind is the service to God which evoke the spirit and many comes up with humanity service in the district then she instill the spirit of community participation which evoke the people in collective fight against the deadly pandemic while she ensure no one goes hungry owing to the prolonged lockdown.
He also said that the Minister adequately provide personal protection equipments to all the frontline workers ensuring their safety while combating the deadly virus, apart from continuously conducting a review meeting with the civil frontline workers apart from the District Administration, Medical Department and District Police to ensure the safety of the people.
“We are blessed to have such a caring and committed leader especially during this pandemic health crisis” Gangte lauded Minister Nemcha Kipgen while conveying his thankfulness and appreciation for her sincere concerned upon her people and wish her a healthy life.
As the present health crisis is known as novel coronavirus it has confused everyone even the Government since such health crisis has not been experience by the world before but we are fortunate to have a Minister like Minister Nemcha Kipgen who not help us in all issues and requirements but also inspire us with her commitment and selfless service, said Somorjit Salam, IAS DC Kangpokpi.
The IAS officer also lauded the contribution of Churches in Kangpokpi and KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi in particular for taking the burden of catering service for one month which greatly helped the District Administration in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 and contribute Rs.10,000/- in cash towards the Church as a mark of gratefulness and thanks.
Meanwhile, the Quarantine Centres in-charge of Kangpokpi Chunglenmang Kipgen, MCS also appreciated and thanked Minister Nemcha Kipgen for her selfless active role in helping the District Administration in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 while lauding the tireless efforts and contribution of KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi in the catering service.
He also contributed Rs. 12,000/- towards KBC Centre Church fund as a token of appreciation and gratitude for their selfless contribution in the catering service.
The farewell dinner with pork and fish meat provided by the Minister marked the occasion while the next catering service for another one month will taken by Thadou Baptist Association (TBA) Church, Kangpokpi.
